01 — Purpose
lloydsbsbs publishes general notes about furniture care and repair topics in London homes. The aim is practical: help a reader see what a material is doing, what to photograph, and when to stop. The notes are not a specification for a particular piece and not an offer to do the work. The publisher is named on the about page.
02 — What is chosen
Topics are chosen because they come up when people look after furniture in ordinary rooms: movement, wear, cloth, joints, veneers, hardware, light, and heat. A page is added when it can stand on its own. Pages are not added to inflate a count. Each note links to others only where the materials overlap.
03 — Voice and names
Pages are issued in the name of the publisher, lloydsbsbs. They are not bylined to a named craftsperson. The desk does not invent authors, case studies, or customers. Where a sentence needs a person in a photograph, the caption says the photograph is illustrative and that the person is not staff.
04 — What is refused
The desk does not publish prices, packages, booking prompts, star ratings, testimonials, awards, or certificates. It does not claim that a method is official, guaranteed, or safe in every home. It does not rank products or workshops. It does not give a method for sanding or burning unknown older paint. Those limits match the disclaimer and the terms of use.
05 — Images
Photographs are stock images stored on this website. They show materials, rooms, and hands as illustrations. They are not pictures of 55 Dalston Lane and not pictures of a workshop operated by the publisher. Captions say so. Decorative diagrams drawn for a page, such as the racking sketch on the joint note, are original to the page and labelled as diagrams.
06 — Dates
Each substantial page shows a publication date and an update date. The update date moves when the wording changes in a way a reader should notice. It does not move because the file was resaved without a change in meaning. The catalogue repeats those dates.
07 — Corrections
Write to [email protected] with the page address, the sentence, and what you think is wrong. If the point is a factual distinction — for example, a finish family described in a way that would mislead a careful reader — the page is revised and the update date changes. The desk does not open a public comment thread. A disagreement about taste, or a request to add a shop, is not treated as a correction.
08 — Independence
Notes are not paid placements. The site does not accept payment to mention a product or a workshop, and it does not mention them. Advertising tags are not installed. The cookie policy explains the consent choices that exist so a future tag, if one were ever added, would stay off until a reader allowed it. Editorial text would still not become an advertisement for a repair service. Questions about a page go to contact.
