Conditions of use
Terms of use
Published · Updated
These terms are the publisher’s conditions for reading lloydsbsbs. They are written in plain language. They are not a substitute for legal advice about your own situation.
1 · THE SITE
The site is published by lloydsbsbs, 55 Dalston Ln, London E8 2NG, United Kingdom. It contains general notes on furniture care and repair topics. It does not sell goods, take payment, open accounts, or book repairs. The disclaimer is part of the context for these terms.
2 · NO CONTRACT FOR WORK
Reading a page, emailing the publisher, or telephoning the published number does not create a contract for repair, inspection, or collection of furniture. Email is for questions about the pages, corrections, privacy, and accessibility, as split on the contact page.
3 · INFORMATION, NOT A SPECIFICATION
The notes are general. Furniture varies. A sentence about seasonal movement or a hinge measurement is not a finding about your piece. You are responsible for deciding whether to act, to wait, or to take advice from someone who can see the piece. Do not rely on the site for anything that needs a professional inspection, including structure that is already failing and older paint that might contain lead.
4 · ACCEPTABLE USE
Do not misuse the site: do not attempt to break it, probe it for access you were not given, or send unlawful, threatening, or deceptive messages to the published addresses. Do not scrape the pages in a way that degrades the service for other readers. You may link to a page. You may not present the site as your own workshop or as a different organisation.
5 · THE TEXT AND THE PICTURES
The wording of the notes is published by lloydsbsbs. You may quote a short passage with a link to the page. You may not copy whole notes onto another site and present them as a service. Photographs are used as illustrations under the licence of their source and are not sold or licensed onward by this site. Captions explain that they are not the publisher’s premises.
6 · LIABILITY
The pages are provided as general reading. The publisher does not accept liability for loss that comes from treating a general note as a personal instruction, to the extent the law allows that limit. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7 · LAW
These terms are intended to be read under the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales are the intended forum. If a clause is held unenforceable, the rest remains. The privacy policy and cookie policy govern personal information and browser storage. The accessibility page describes how to report a barrier.
8 · CHANGES
If these terms change, the update date changes. The previous wording is not kept on a separate public archive unless a later edit adds one. Questions about the terms go to [email protected].
